Our upgrade can take your existing pneumatic tube system and turn it into a state-of-the-art computer controlled system! Upgrades occur usually in two weeks or less and do not involve tearing out walls, rerouting pipes or replacing large pieces of hardware.

 

After the upgrade, you get all of the benefits of a modern computer controlled system: real-time displays, carrier location tracking, central control and maintenance, reports, dynamic rerouting, automatic empty carrier inventory control, remote manipulation, and real-time diagnostics.

 

Uses Existing Equipment

Pneumatic Tube Products upgrades existing single and twin-tube systems without changing the existing tubing, stations, diverters, wye branches, deflectors, blowers, field wiring, or even the exchanger (if your system has one).

Replacing only the station control panels and adding a PC in place of the existing main controls will save you a tremendous amount of money over the approaches used by other companies.

 

Enables Future Expansion

Our hybrid twin/single capability lets you expand upgraded twin-tube systems with single-tube zones, greatly decreasing the cost of expanding your system, at the time of the upgrade or anytime in the future.

 

Adaptable Software

The TUBES control software is adaptable to existing mechanical configurations.

Linear Exchanger

Here we see TUBES controlling a linear exchanger on a hybrid system with two twin-tube zones and two added single-tube zones. This particular exchanger has two storage positions.

Belt Exchanger

Here we see TUBES controlling a belt exchanger on three-zone retrofitted system. Note that the exchanger retains its original zone ordering. The system is just releasing a carrier from zone one into zone 2. (The belt paddles are shown schematically as a funnel into the destination zone).

Optical Transit Detectors

PTP's wye-branch optical transit detectors provide a real-time display of a carrier's progress thorough the vacuum system. A carrier has just passed through this wye branch, changing the optical beam's label from "Armed" to "Tripped."

Tubes can control your existing twintube stations... here is an Up dispatch, Down receive station. Note that these rollout stations do not have a receive slidegate. (It is not necessary to retrofit them with one, but you can, as an option. Receive slidegates make it possible for stations to accept password-secured transactions).
